Coffee and tea are the love language of Drs. Jawwad and Tammi Love, owners of Love House Brands. They invite conversation, laughter, and connection wherever and however they gather.

Jawwad and Tammi’s coffee journey began on the West Coast before the COVID-19 pandemic. What started as a shared desire to honor African coffee grew from raising awareness to roasting beans and ultimately creating their own family brand. Today, Culture Coffee brings that journey to Love House Brands, embodying culture, passion, and warmth in every bean.

A few years later, Tammi began another journey—this time with African tea. Steeped in care, culture, and community, Nekesa’s Teas grew from her love of tea and her experiences in East Africa.

Nekesa is the Kenyan name given to Tammi by a beloved community that became extended family during Jawwad and Tammi’s travels. Meaning “harvest,” the name beautifully reflects what this journey has produced.

Tea has always been more than a drink in Tammi’s life. From the sweet teas of her childhood to the bold leaves of Kenya, tea has been a ritual at the dinner table, a moment of calm, and a sacred pause—a quiet teacher and reminder of self-care.

Nekesa’s Teas is a tribute to that journey and the harvest it continues to produce.
